Excursion Details

A must-do experience on a journey through history, culture and traditions of Cyprus. Begin the morning with a stroll through the antiquated streets of Paphos old town, where the old market boasts artisan gifts, souvenirs and an abundance of traditional delicacies and locally produced wine. We’ll then head to the scenic village of Tala and marvel at the Ayios Neophytos monastery with its impressive Byzantine frescoes dating back to the 12th century and admire the stunning enclosure the hermit carved into the mountain himself. Following on, we’ll journey to Letymbou village to visit Sophia’s traditional house. We’ll watch her prepare fresh halloumi cheese and clay oven-baked bread and sit down to enjoy a traditional Cypriot brunch with Cyprus coffee. We’ll cap off the day with a wine tasting experience at a nearby village where we’ll be introduced to the region's finest wines.

• 09:00 – 10:00  Pick up from Paphos hotels only
• 10:00 – 10:10  Drive to Paphos Old Town
• 10:15 – 10:45  Guided walk in the heart of Paphos old town
• 10:50 – 11:10  Drive to Ayios Neophytos Monastery
• 11:15 – 12:00  Visit Ayios Neophytos Monastery and the hermit’s enclosure
• 12:00 – 12:15  Drive to Letymbou village
• 12:15 – 13:00  Visit Sophia’s Traditional House with Cypriot brunch included
• 13:00 – 13:10  Drive to Lemona village
• 13:15 – 14:00  Winery tour with wine tasting experience
• 14:00 – 15:00  Drive back to resort and drop off guests to hotels
